Get off to a running start
Start your engines and get ready for the 3rd annual Great Locomotive Chase on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011.
Preparations are already underway for the race and we want you to join us! The 5K will run from Kennesaw First Baptist up through Swift-Cantrell Park and finish in downtown Kennesaw to kick off The Taste of Kennesaw. Register before Sept. 7 and the cost is $25.
This year we’re happy to announce a new flat and fast race route for the 1 Mile Fun Run.
The schedule for the day is as follows:
- 7:30 a.m. — Kennesaw First Baptist — 1 Mile Fun Run begins
- 8:00 a.m. — Kennesaw First Baptist — 5K begins
- 8:45 a.m. — Big Shanty Barbershop — Tot Trot begins

This is my first time running a 5k race. What time should I arrive to the starting point and is there anything that I need to know/do for this race? I’ve registered online. I just want to be sure I’m fully prepared for this new adventure! Thanks!
